This new guidebook features detailed descriptions and directions to 25 trails and trail sections located within the Southern Nantahala Wilderness, the Ellicott Rock Wilderness, and the Chattooga National Wild and Scenic River. Some 114 miles of wilderness area is covered, including over 23 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Homan expertly maps out each area, describing the surrounding habitat, providing comments on the area’s vegetation, and noting specific sights to see. Trailhead and regional maps are also included.
