I remember scrambling all over the house for the perfect thing to bring when I was a kid ― no easy task, especially at 7:40 a.m., which was historically when I’d remember that it was the 100th day of school. (Cereal has many uses.) So, good luck out there! I hope you didn’t forget like Jake and I did!

Oh goody! I get to be comment #1. Here goes….
When I was in school, we didn't celebrate the 100th day of school. But I've worked in schools for over 35 years and I recall the first time ever hearing this and talking with the elementary grade teacher about how she was factoring it into her math lesson for that day. Macaroni elbows or shells, etc. Cheerios. Buttons. Chocolate chips. Tootsie rolls, etc. (kids love the candy to count and eat)
Since then, I have seen and heard teachers doing lots with this and I think it sounds like a fun way to engage the children in the classroom to focus on numerical items.
Oops! Left off the email (don't count this as an "entry" though)
I did not have 100th day of school celebration. But I did bring a frog to school one day when I was very young.
I will have to ask my grandkids about this celebration.
Congratulations! I say you both win! And I think I already have your addresses, so be on the lookout for your copies of Jake's 100th Day of School in the mail soon. Have a great weekend!

I’m writing on this topic these days, but I have stopped writing because there is no reference material.
Then I accidentally found your article. I can refer to a variety of materials,
so I think the work I was preparing will work! Thank you for your efforts.
