Laura O’Callahan is Jay O’Callahan’s daughter. She attended Oberlin and Gallaudet Colleges, where she was one of three hearing students in a year-long exchange program, and graduated from Northeastern University.

Patricia Raine is a regular illustrator for The Washington Post and U.S. News & World Report (where she was a weekly political caricaturist), Raine has earned honors from the Society of Illustrators and the Illustrator’s Club, as well as from a number of print organizations.
