In their latest children’s book,
Martina the Beautiful Cockroach, author Carmen Agra Deedy and illustrator Michael Austin serve up a deliciously inventive Cuban adaptation of the beloved folktale, complete with a dash of cafe cubano. In bringing the little green cockroach to life, the book has been recognized as a 2008 Pura Belpre honor recipient.
